Organisations and Users
What is an Organisation?
An organisation can be considered a tenant for your monitoring withing Canary. It contains settings like a name, owner details and who the members are.
Allowed Email Domain
You can restrict who can sign up to your organisation by limiting the email domain of users. Only those people with a verified email account from the correct domain name will be permitted to sign up.
User Management
In the Members tab in the organisation settings you can add and remove users who should have access to Canary settings and data.
Inviting Members
New members can be added by sending an invite code to their email address. When the link in the email address is used, the member can setup some basic information and will then have access to the organisation.
Managing Accounts
You can disable a member’s account from the Members tab. This prevents them from logging in and resets any current logon session they might have. If a member’s account is disabled, the account can be re-enabled. Only the Organisation Owner can change the status of a member’s account or invite new members.
Members can be removed entirely from an organisation by using the Remove from Org option in the context member for each member. The action will prompt a warning before removing the member.
Note
The currently logged in member cannot delete or disable their own account.
